Summer is finally here! May 15 was Momentum’s 1 year anniversary in our downtown Wilmington, NC location. A lot of things happened for us over the past year. The Momentum brand has been a huge success. Custom surfboards, specialty shapes, and our artisan series have made the biggest impact. Collaborations with a Jameson Irish Whiskey and Absolute Mango Vodka were one of the many highlights of the past year. The Jameson board is hanging in Slainte Irish Pub next door on Front Street.
Picking up RVCA, Arbor, Toms, Spy, and Vestal watches made Momentum a destination for locals. Within the last two months, we expanded upstairs and opened a surfboard gallery and complete skate shop. We are the most competitively priced skate spot in Wilmington. Momentum has also introduced a new line of shop decks that will be released in July.
We started with just a few brands and continued to grow. We rolled with the punches and established a good base to stand on. Our online store is available for people that cant make it down to the shop. We offer additional items that we don’t carry in the store.

There is a indoor park in the works for downtown Wilmington. We hope to have it open before next summer. The park will have a full shop, concessions, video and photography, theater, and a stage for live music. Finally… An indoor park in town.
